So here's the deal with amigos, they are exactly that, your friends, my girlfriend and i just kind of wound up here while walking around the old port lookibg for something to eat. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by Chelsea, a high energy and friendly server who let us choose our own seat. She was promptly taking our order and had a smile on her face the whole time. I dont know about you all but when i have a server who us pasionate about their job, it takes my experience to the next level. She checked up on us regularly, and my food was exactly what i was looking for, i should admit that i was already rather drunk at this point. But as someone who was on a hunt for a good margarita, this spot was precicely the place to be. Id reccomend the rasberry margarita. If you are looking for friendly service a good drink and good company, this is the place to be!!

More than 6 ? Forget about eating there (we were 9). The place was empty (only 4 customers were inside). We were told that they could not serve us cause it would stress the kitchen. Instead we went to El Rayo Taqueria on 26 Free St ! We really enjoyed it !

Was pretty cool, had to wait a very long time to play pool though, definitely poppin

Great dive bar in Portland, Maine! Excellent beer/liquor choices and they even have a place to charge your cell phone!

Awesome food and super friendly staff, and low prices! The ambiance was fun.

Bar tenders are not welcoming. Just want your money, could care less about the experience.

The food was great - I went here on a date before a show and it seemed to work out pretty well. The meal wasn’t super memorable, but still good.

Reluctant to give 5 stars as I don't want it packed with tourists but it's my fave so, enter at your own risk.

I love!!! The loaded nachos. I drove all the way from Rhode Island just to sit down and share the delicious nachos with my sister and daughter. It was worth the trip not only for the nachos but now have another favorite due to my daughter being a picky eater she only wanted fried chicken. If I wasn't too full from the nachos I would of gotten another order. The waitress was friendly and nice to let us sit in the downstairs since the restaurant on the upper level was close.

Went there for Cinco de Mayo. Great crowd attentive bartenders. A young hip crowd who likes to party..

I'm going against the majority vote here, but I didn't think the food was good. The taco fillings (chicken, braised beef, and ground beef) were very dry and tough like they had been reheated several times during the week. They didn't taste fresh, either. My thinking is that if I can create something vastly superior to that in my own kitchen with minimal effort (and I'm not great at cooking), then why go out to a place like this? However, the server (who was also the bartender) was very nice and rather charming. I just can't recommend the food to anyone.

Small, hole in the wall. Went here to have a drink (which was strong) and play pool. The women's bathroom was one of the most disgusting I've ever been in. Not planning on ever going back.

So walked out for a smoke came back inside and was told I wasn’t allowed back in by the bouncer that probably could only bounce a check let alone me. May not reflect the owner but Terrible service. Not military friendly

I've had some bad experiences in my life, but none that compares to the culinary abortion I took part in, no more than a month ago, at Amigo's. I'm not sure what I expected, being a prototypical chain restaurant, but I certainly didn't anticipate paying money to shorten my life .Between the service, and the actual burrito, I have Amigo's to thank for taking maybe the worst years I was going to have at the end of my life, away from me. If you took some trash, wrapped it up in dead animal skins, the let it sit on an apartment building roof in Phoenix, Arizona, in the middle of summer, you would have something similar, which was brought to my table to eat. As I looked around at the other patrons, I made eye contact with at least other parties that were also, unknowingly, taking part in the Culinary Abortion Orgy" that evening. That is what that night became to be called from all who ate their that evening.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to eat here as they do not serve food on Sunday or Monday. Hopefully it is something they will change, as besides that the bar looked empty on a Sunday for Happy Hour.

Maine band, the Scolded Dogs, were playing Friday night on the patio, they brought the house down. Great entertainment!

Awesome hard tacos... And can't beat the price on Tuesdays for Happy Hour... And the bartender... Even better than the tacos! Thanks Chelsea... You're the best!
